Cheers to 2024, let's make this our best year ever! I'll be enjoying a much needed Spring vacation with my sisters April 11-26th. I will respond to all inquiries upon my return.

ASCEND: Art in Motion

If you’ve been following along with our Instagram feed, you might have seen us announce our next retreat. Needless to say, we couldn’t be more excited!

ASCEND: Art in Motion is coming your way this fall and let us tell you, it’s going to be one for the books.

We had the most wonderful time back in April for our first PRESSED Retreat, where we gathered for a weekend of guest lectures, creative networking, branding photoshoots and SO much tasty food done by our own PRESSED chefs John and Sarah. Together we grew our respective brands while making lifelong friends in the process and we just can’t wait to do it again in October!

We’re overjoyed to be hosting the lovely Suzanne Cunningham for this fall’s event, a master calligrapher boasting both industry stay-power and impressive social media proficiency. Specializing in copperplate script, Suzanne’s 26-year spanning career is dotted with teaching future calligraphers (Letterworks 2017, IAMPETH 2018) and learning from the best (Michael Sull, Barbara Calzolari, Bill Kemp, Harvest Crittenden, Mike Kesceg, Pat Blair… the list goes on).

Check out some of Suzanne’s work here. Suzanne is just so talented-- we’re over the moon to be working with her on this event!

Over two full days of retreat (October 5th-6th), Suzanne is going to be instructing us on the art of adding flourishes (“The Art of the Oval”) and everything you need to know to address an envelope (“Envelopes & Etiquette”), both intermediate courses.

ASCEND: Art in Motion will be our second retreat for 2019, and it sold out in just two days. We couldn’t believe it! The outpouring of support we’ve received regarding this event has us thinking ASCEND retreats need to be a yearly (at least) event. It’s just so fun to get together with fellow creatives for a weekend of magic!

We’re working on future guests to host in 2020 and would love to know who you’re all interested in learning from! Sound off in the comments about who (or which topics) you’d like to see covered in the future.

Big Hugs,

The PRESSED Team
